<h3>Occupational Description</h3><br>A Bill or Account Collector is defined as a solicitor who is actively engaged in the solicitation of accounts for collection and/or collection of such accounts once referred or assigned to a collection agency licensed to conduct business in Nebraska. It excludes employees engaged solely in office clerical work for an agency.<br><h3>Licensure Requirements</h3><br>Applicants must submit an application which includes these forms and documents: 1. Application for collection agency license; 2. Officer’s Interrogatory; 3. Financial Statement; 4. Oath of Applicant; 5. Collection agency license bond & license fees.<br><h3>Fees</h3><br>Collection Agency Initial License Fee- $200.00 Collection Agency License Initial Investigation Fee- $200.00 Initial Branch Office Certificate- $50.00 Solicitor’s Certificate- $1.00<br><h3>Renewal</h3><br>Renewal due date is now 12/31 of each year.
