Any business firm, to include partnerships (with individuals as partners); sole proprietorships (other than those owned and operated by the individual licensee in the licensee's name as reflected in the Board's records); and corporations exempt from the Professional Corporation Act GS 55B must be licensed to offer or provide engineering or land surveying services. Corporations and Limited Liability Companies are subject to the ownership requirements of GS 55B and are licensed as Professional Corporations or Professional Limited Liability Companies.
